200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali

Small Group. Deep Immersion. Lasting Confidence.

More Than a Certification. A Lasting Change.

Since 2017 we have been running this training in Ubud, Bali for one simple reason — we believe a yoga teacher training should do more than certify you. It should change you. Not in a vague, promised way. In a specific, felt, lasting way that shows up in how you teach, how you practice and how you live.

The people who come to Inner Yoga are not just looking for a certification. They are looking for something that goes deeper than a qualification — a real shift in how they understand their practice, how they show up in a room and how they feel in their own body. If that is what you are searching for, keep reading.

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Bali

"I designed Inner Yoga Training around one thing I kept seeing was missing — balance. So many trainings push students through twice daily Vinyasa practices, leaving people more exhausted and burnt out at the end than when they arrived. I wanted to create something different. A training that supports you in finding balance within yourself first — in your body, your mind and your daily life. Because when that foundation is there, real transformation becomes possible."

Georgina Watson, E-RYT500 — Founder, Inner Yoga Training

What Can I Expect from a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training?

Week 1

You Are Finally Here

For many students, this training has been on their mind for months — sometimes years. And then suddenly you are in Bali, in the shala, surrounded by people who feel like they could become friends, about to begin something you have been working toward for a long time. Week one is exciting and a little nerve-wracking in the best possible way.

There is a lot of new material — asana clinics, anatomy, philosophy, methodology — and some students worry early on that they will not be able to absorb it all. What often surprises people is how quickly the learning becomes embodied. In a small group with specialist teachers, students regularly achieve poses in week one that they have been working toward for years. That first breakthrough tends to set the tone for everything that follows.

Week 2

The Transformation Week

By week two the training is working on you in ways that go beyond the classroom. The daily practice is physical. Being away from home is emotional. Tiredness sets in and feelings that have been waiting for space start to surface. This is completely normal and we see it every month without exception.

This is also where the small group makes a real difference. Everyone around you is going through the same arc at the same time and everyone wants to see each other succeed. Your teachers are there not just to teach but to support you through the harder moments too. Georgina and the teaching team check in personally with students who are finding the week difficult. It is the kind of support that simply does not exist in a larger group. Nobody navigates week two alone and nobody needs to.

Think of it like a driving licence — you pass your test and then you learn to drive. You don't need to leave the training knowing and remembering everything.

Week 3

Everything Comes Together

Week three is when the pieces click. What felt like separate modules in weeks one and two starts to connect into something cohesive. You are practice teaching more, planning your sequence, giving and receiving feedback, and beginning to feel what it is like to actually teach yoga rather than study it. By the time you stand in front of your small group for your celebration class, you are more ready than you think. Almost every student finishes that class elated and surprised by what they were capable of.

And then comes the part nobody quite prepares for. Saying goodbye. To the people you arrived as strangers with and are leaving as something closer to family. To Azadi Retreat, the shala, the rice fields, the pool, the rhythm of the days. Either way, something has changed. And that change goes with you.

Yoga is an ongoing journey. You will never stop learning and growing as a teacher. The real teaching education begins when you are in front of your first class, watching how students respond to your cues, seeing how different bodies move differently. The 200 Hour training is not the destination — rather the beginning of one of the most rewarding paths you will ever walk.

What Does the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Cover?

This training follows the Yoga Alliance 200 hour curriculum framework and meets all required standards for RYT 200 certification. The curriculum builds progressively and weaves each subject together so your knowledge feels cohesive and embodied rather than a list of isolated modules.

Vinyasa Yoga

You will learn how to build strong, intelligent sequences and teach with clarity and confidence. How to structure a class for different levels, different bodies and different intentions — so you leave with a teaching toolkit that works in the real world.

Yin Yoga

All 26 foundational Yin postures alongside the principles of functional anatomy. You will learn how to adapt each pose to serve the individual body in front of you — essential for teaching inclusively and safely.

Yoga Curriculum
Daily Practice
Applied Anatomy and Biomechanics

Practical, applied anatomy that gives you a genuine understanding of how bodies differ. Not abstract theory — the kind of knowledge that makes you a safer, more observant and more confident teacher from day one.

Meditation and Pranayama

You will develop a consistent personal practice and learn to share it with others in a grounded, accessible way. One of the most commonly requested skills by yoga students and one of the most undertaught in many trainings.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Meridians

Most yoga teacher trainings stop at Ayurveda. We go further by integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine — giving you an entirely different dimension of teaching. You will learn to sequence and theme classes according to meridian lines, emotions and specific organs.

Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda

The why behind the practice. Ancient wisdom made directly relevant to how you live and teach today — giving your classes a depth and authenticity that students feel even when they cannot explain why.

Teaching Methodology and Voice Activation

From early in the training you will be teaching, cueing, guiding and receiving direct feedback in a safe and supported environment. Voice activation work helps you find and own your teaching voice — we take that seriously and build it in from day one.

Business of Yoga

Practical guidance on building a conscious teaching career — whether your plan is to teach full time, part time, or simply live the practice more fully. Studios, retreats, online teaching — we cover the real world practicalities so you leave with a plan as well as a certification.

What Will I Leave the 200 Hour Teacher Training With?

By the end of the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training you will be able to:

  • Sequence, theme and teach a complete 60 minute Vinyasa class with confidence
  • Sequence, theme and teach a complete 60 minute Yin class
  • Combine both styles into a single class that flows naturally between them
  • Teach all 26 foundational Yin postures with functional anatomy understanding
  • Apply TCM meridian theory to your sequencing and theming
  • Guide students through pranayama and meditation accessibly and safely
  • Teach with your own authentic voice — not a copy of someone else's style
  • Understand and apply yoga philosophy and Ayurveda to how you teach and live
  • Plan and build a conscious teaching career with practical business guidance

You will also leave with Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certification, dual certification in both Vinyasa and Yin, a lifetime alumni community and the ongoing support of Georgina and the Inner Yoga team as you take your first steps as a teacher.

"From that place of balance, something remarkable happens."
You stop trying to copy a system or perform a version of yoga you have seen someone else teach. You start discovering who you genuinely are — as a person and as a teacher. That authentic voice, once found, is what you carry into every class you teach and every room you walk into. That is what I built this school to help people find.

Is This 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali Right for Me?

This training is for people who want to go deeper. Who want to understand not just what to teach but why. Who want individual attention from teachers who have spent decades mastering their subject. Who want to leave not just certified but genuinely prepared.

Because of that depth, something else tends to happen. Students arrive focused on the qualification and leave having experienced something they didn't fully expect — a shift in how they understand themselves, how they move through the world, how they relate to their own practice. Not every training does that. The difference is in how seriously the curriculum is designed and how personally the teaching is delivered.

If you are looking for a high energy social experience with a large group, plenty of nightlife and a certification ticked off in a few weeks, there are schools in Bali that will suit you well. If you are serious about your practice and your teaching, you are in the right place.

What Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Graduates Say

"It was not at all what I expected and already on the first day I understood that there was much more to it than learning about yoga poses and teaching them to future students. The 3 weeks at Azadi was a powerful inner journey. I learned so much about myself in those 3 weeks, it felt as if years went by. The support of the amazing people I shared the training with was priceless — we all became really good friends, bonded by experiencing our own and collective transformation. 6 weeks after having come back from Bali, I taught my first yoga class for 12 people — something I could not even imagine half a year ago. Thank you Georgina and the team for creating this place."

— Marek Sitarski, 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

"We were blessed with a small group, allowing lots of time with our teachers for questions and feedback. All the teachers brought an inspiring insight and enthusiasm into their own specialties which made our sessions with them informative and enjoyable."

— Craig Smith, 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

"I was initially drawn to the program for its unique combination of Vinyasa and Yin, but what I received was so much more than a yoga certification. The training wove together asana, philosophy, anatomy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and voice activation, all delivered with such intention and care. The teachers were incredibly skilled, blending deep knowledge with intuitive support, creating a space where I felt both challenged and held. I grew not just in my physical practice but in my confidence and understanding of how to truly embody and teach yoga."

— Veronica Andrews, 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

"From the moment of arriving it felt like everything was covered and cared for, making you feel so welcome immediately. Some days it didn't feel like a training course — just like catching up with a bunch of friends who are very passionate about their specialties."

— Trenton Monck, 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

"Inner Yoga Training is the most boutique and premium of the group."
A fully all-inclusive training on a private property with very small cohorts and retreat-level attention, designed for students who want depth, comfort, and close guidance rather than scale or buzz.
