Inner Yoga Training

My path to yoga began the way many do, in the middle of something falling apart. After a long-term relationship ended I found myself on a plane to India, yes, Eat Pray Love, and stayed in an ashram where I discovered meditation for the first time. I came home a different woman. A regular yoga practice followed, which eventually brought me to Bali, where I completed my Vinyasa teacher training. Later, I discovered Yin yoga before it was widely known, and everything fell into place. It was the perfect meeting of the stillness I had found in meditation and the physical practice I had come to love. I have spent over 500 hours in specialist Yin training since then, and have taught Yin on teacher trainings and retreats for more than 1,000 hours.

What troubled me as I spent more time in the yoga world was students arriving at yoga teacher trainings stressed or already depleted pushing through twice-daily Vinyasa and Ashtanga practices and leaving more exhausted than when they arrived. I wanted to build something different that could help people understand how to live in balance. A training where people felt safe, supported and genuinely cared for. Where the pace allowed real learning rather than just survival. Where students left not just certified but changed in how they practised, how they taught and how they understood themselves.

In 2017 I founded Inner Yoga Training in Ubud, Bali. Small groups, specialist teachers and a curriculum that balances Yin and Yang because I believe a complete practice needs both. A teacher who understands both is more grounded, more versatile and more effective. What students tell us when they leave is that the training went much deeper than they expected, that they felt safe and at home. They didn't just leave with a certificate but with a different outlook on their life and practice.
